Hello,

I have an email account setup in my x10.mx domain.

I have forgotten the password to my email account.

I can open the email account and check my emails but If I select Change Password in the Settings section it rejects my current password.

Other than deleting the account and starting again is there a way to reset the password?

Regards,

Mary

In hosting control panel

Email Manager > Email Accounts < there is a plus button on the same row as the email account in question (click that) > change username/password

Awesome mrburnsx, that worked.

Now I am having trouble getting the email account added to Windows 10 Outlook app.

The settings I have are:

IMAP as the account type
Email account: myemailaccount@tiasgoods.x10.mx
Password: my email password
IMAP Incoming Server: mail.tiasgoods.x10.mx
Port: 993
Security: SSL / TLS (recommended)

SMTP Username: myemailaccount@tiasgoods.x10.mx
SMTP Password (Enter your SMTP password if it differs from your IMAP/POP password): Left blank
SMTP Outgoing Server: mail.tiasgoods.x10.mx
Port: 465
Secure Connection Type: SSL / TLS (recommended)

Adding the account fails stating "Something went wrong. Try again. You may need an app password."

If I click Troubleshooting it says:

{"SessionId":"1f4c402b-e6ba-cd41-833e-bffe1f56b853","Timestamp":1754666387670,"Error":"INVALIDCREDENTIALS INTERACTIONREQUIRED"}

Strange thing is I am also running the Poppeeper program which is working fine with this email account and the same settings.

If I should start a new post for this problem I can do that.

Regards,

Mary

SMTP for x10Hosting is port 587, also try the STARTTLS option if available

Hello again mrburnsx,

Unfortunately SMTP port 587 with either the SSL / TLS or STARTTLS options don't work.

Upon further checking, it is a SSL problem since your SSL is only covering your domain itself and no subdomains. I would either recommend changing the set mail server to just be the domain itself or the server hostname.

Sorry mrburnsx, I do not understand your reply.

What do I need to change and how?

If I go into my Control Panel I see a section for Modify MX Records. Is that where I should be?

I see "Use this server to handle my e-mails. If not, change the MX records and uncheck this option." which is ticked.

Sorry but this is over my head.

Regards,

Mary

No. Only change the IMAP Incoming Server and SMTP Outgoing Server setting to x11.x10hosting.com
