Hello,

I would like to upgrade my Moodle installation proposed by Softaculous (3.8.4 -> 3.9.1) , but I don't have sufficient space to upgrade this installation. Can an administrator increase disk space ?
Thank you.

Please make sure that your account is following all of the rules of the terms of service and the acceptable use policy before an admin looks over it. Mainly:

  • No backups. Don't back up your site, your home computer, etc.
  • No private galleries. Don't fill up your space with pictures that only you can see.
  • No files not related to your website. Don't load videos, MP3's, etc. that aren't on your site.
  • No copyrighted files. Pretty obvious, but no warez or files you don't own.
  • 50% or more of your current space has to be in use
Requesting admin assistance.

I have increased your diskspace. However, the INODE limit of 50000 is a set limit that can only be changed by upgrading to premium hosting, you are currently using up a little below 40000 INODEs.

An INODE is made up by all files or folders in the account, including emails.

Thank you, Anna.
I was able to upgrade Moodle from 3.8.4 to 3.9.1 with Softaculous despite the version of mariadb:
"version 10.2.29 is required and you are running 10.0.38."

Various PHP software developers have pushed for a quite new version of MySQL compatible software and x10 hasn't gotten to that version yet. If it creates an issue for you, please open a new thread.
