index.html will not load

My web site defaults to this page:

http://lordsubotai.exofire.net/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

not the index.html file I put in public_html

Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug?

I don't have any .htaccess files, and even if I did, the frontpage extensions (which I am for whatever reason, unable to turn off) will do something different anyway. Not a bad idea, though. Thanks.

By the right the main index should be anything inside your public_html/www. Did you try to change anything in cpanel?

I'm gonna escalate this, as the issue seem to be within the backend (I've started looking into it already).
