Hello,

I have opened a new account because every time I try to log into my old account it logs me out and says that my IP address has changed. I log in multiple times and then I receive another error not long after saying that I've been logged out. Any link I click on whether using the standard theme or the cPanel theme causes me to have to log back in or I receive a dialog box saying to click cancel to stay on the page or click ok to log in again. It is now doing it on my new account and I have only had the account for 20 minutes! This is super frustrating, I can't even log in to add my website or domain name. :(

What Browser are you using? If the answer is IE . you need to move over to firefox or Chrome. Ie has stop support for that browser.

Yes, I am using Chrome and Firefox. I never use IE...bleh. Lol. Thanks, I had said to myself after I logged out last night that I probably should've mentioned that.

I had to log in at least 5 times each time I clicked a link in cPanel. I have noticed an Apache error. I've looked through the most recent updates and issues but, I have not come across anything that applies to me.

It's not my computer, it's the server. It happens on my phone and as I previously mentioned it happens with all browsers, not just FF. I'm not a newbie when it comes to IT and computers and my partner is a systems administrator. Hopefully, someone from x10 will respond with some answers.

of the hundreds of accounts on your x10hosting's free-hosting server your account is the only one that has posted recently in this forum about that issue

IMO it is not the server

I can clearly see no one has any actual solutions, it would be great if someone from x10 would actually respond.

It's you. Or, rather, it's at your end. You mentioned that it happens on your phone. It's a common thing for mobile providers to change IP address assignments between requests; that lets them serve a larger number of customers with a smaller pool of (external) IP addresses. If you can find a more stable connection, like a WiFi hotspot that doesn't block the port for cPanel or another computer that isn't using a mobile connection, you should have no trouble. But as long as your IP address is actually changing, you're going to be booted every time it happens. (And no, changing things on the server to permit IP address changes while logged in isn't an option.)

This has been happening for awhile now. I've even moved across the country since it started. Wired and wireless connections I still have the same problem. I'll just wait a reply from x10.

It's easy to check for yourself using a service like whatismyip.com. If your IP address is actually changing, there's nothing that can be done at this end.

Hi,

cPanel does check each request to make sure the IP address hasn't changed, for security reasons. Your internet provider usually won't change your IP address frequently, if at all. I took a look at your account's sign-in history, and in the last day alone I can see you've signed in from several different addresses, one of which almost definitely being a VPN/proxy.

Here are a few things you could try...

1) Are you using any kind of VPN, proxy, or anonymizer? If so, please try turning it off.

2) Could you be on a mobile network? If so, please try from a normal internet connection.

3) Do you have a browser extension installed that could be masking your IP address in some way? If so, please disable it or try another web browser.

Let me know how it goes. :)
