Hi all,

I have an account on Chopin server. Within my site I have a control that records my visitors’ IP addresses and behavior. Few days ago, Chopin is moved and reinstalled, and since than my control is not working as it should.

Nevertheless, regardless to source IP of my visitor, it always records Chopin’s IP, as a source address (69.175.104.34). I am no longer able to distinguish my visitors, any more. It seams that some kind of proxy is installed, and that visitors are “picked up” by some deamon of Chopin’s, and then proxyfied to my site, so my site records always Chopin’s address.

Does anyone can tell me something more about what’s going on?
Does anyone know what is installed on Chopin that causes my control not to operate as it should?
And finally, can I avoid it?

Thanks in advance.

Instead of using

REMOTE_ADDR

try either of:

HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR
HTTP_X_REAL_IP

A theory for why, not mine:

We are using a load balancing system for apache, and other services. So, it might be that it's taking the request from chopin, and returning Chopin as the remote host!

But food find descalzo.
