IPv6 addresses for paid and VPS users. Hell with the availability of ipv6, you could offer a unique ipv6 address for each free account :/ but im not asking for that last part

I noticed that a similar thread was started back in January. Apparently the thread was escalated to a ticket for staff, but there never was any public response in the forums. I think a number of people might be interested in this topic.

I asked Corey about the same thing, except instead of the VPSs or paid hosting, the servers for the Staff/Free Hosting to have IPv6 addresses as well. Reason I asked was due to the fact that I couldn't find any AAAA records for any x10Hosting name.

This probably won't happen for another year.

The Datacenter would also need to support ipv6, and if it doesn't it would take time to implement(Request an address block, Check all their hardware, make any upgrades that are needed, do testing, make sure their peers can route IPv6, etc)

I sent an email to my ISP a few months ago. Their response was, summed up: No and we don't plan to for a long time. Apparently they own a good chunk of IP space and they aren't growing fast, so they can sit on their alloted chunk for a couple years.

I can get IPv6 transport here through DOCSIS 3.0 cable (if it were offered in IPv6) and through my current connection if I pay for business rates and get moved off of the older DSL network. FiOS on the other hand, it's two miles away and they're running trials on giving people native IPv6 connections at home. For now, all IPv6 connections need to be through Teredo or a tunnel/VPN. I can resolve AAAA addresses locally on the network since I run my own DNS resolver and IPv6 is up and running at home.

Nearly no ISPs supports it yet. I live in Sweden and we are, and probably always be, long before US in Internet (We already got affordable, public, 1 Gbps internet here), and as I know, it is impossible to get IPv6 here. So I can't see the use of IPv6 on VPSs/free accounts.

There is no reason why a data center can't offer it. Most data centers peer with like 2-10 different ISPs, and theres no reason why a Tier 1 or 2 ISP can't offer IPV6. The issue comes with Tier 3 isps, and end consumers, whos hardware may not meet ipv6 requirements. I guarantee you though, most if not all Tier 1 ISPs support IPV6 by now

My IPS is a tier 1 ISP, which also provides Europe's largest internet backbone (TeliaSonera), and I am pretty sure we don't get any IPv6 support from them

I know there a one or maybe two ISPs here in the UK that offer IPv6. A few of the universities here also have IPv6.
The current estimation is that we will run out of IPv4 addresses late next year. If it wasn't for NATs, we'd have run out ages ago.
