is CO.CC still for free ?

today i tried to signup in co.cc but i saw itsn't for free now .. ask for 3$ and credit number

any one know what's about that ?

if still free how to signup and setup please

I think they charge only for some (popular) sub domains, the ones with popular words in them will cost, while more random ones still is free.

Note it is only sub domains that are free, and it has always been only co.cc sub domains that has been free of charge.
