I was browsing the forums a bit and could not find a fix to the 404 error after adding my domain.

This is the error that pops up. http://bashea.net/soi/

Hi Pandaz,

Do you also receive an error message when navigating to your domain's root, at http://bashea.net/ ? :)

Thank you,

Hi Pandaz,

When I navigate to your domain, I am redirected to Tumblr. It appears that your domain's nameservers are not pointing to ours. Please can I ask that you ensure your domain's nameservers are pointing to us, before we continue? :)

Our nameservers are:
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

Thank you,

It's pointing to both, I wanted to have a index page to which I can make more pages on, though I'm sure this hosting service can do. I'm just used to tumblr. I can remove the tumblr A-Host if needed though.

Hi Pandaz,

With your current setup, your visitors will be randomly sent to either Tumblr or to one of our free hosting servers, which is probably what is causing this issue. To fix this, you could either host your blog on our hosting service, or you could host your Tumblr blog on a separate subdomain. ;)

Additionally, your account is located on 198.91.81.5, rather than the IP address you have specified. :)

Please let me know if you have any further questions. :)

Thank you,

Pandaz

•Removed Tumblr @
•Added the 198.91.81.5 instead of my old

The http://bashea.net/soi/ works great, thank you!

PS. If I wanted to add certain pages with clickable links, a header, and random information using HTML and CSS, how would I do that? I've never used a file host before. :)

Hi Pandaz,

You could upload your HTML files directly to your "public_html" directory, amongst the "news", "soi", and "sos" directories, which would make them appear at your domain's root. :)

The file you upload will appear as the homepage, assuming it is named "index.html". ;)

Thank you,
