localhost connection error

I've seen alot of threats here with almost same title but still I've a problem I even looked at the wiki on this page

but the problem resets I can not connect my modx software to the mysql database it says no connection

I'm using free host at the chopin server so please can anyone tel me what to do??

yes it has error 500 but that means it is server side error isn't it???

yes, but that has nothing to do with the database setting, which is what you said you had troubles with.

the two most common causes are:
1. Misconfigured .htaccess
2. Wrong file permissions set. (777 on a file/folder that is accessed with the browser will cause the server to throw an error)

I logged on to your account and added one line to your .htaccess, that part does now work. The line added is: RewriteBase /
