[Mail] MyBB SMTP

So I know there is a way to setup MyBB with PHPMail/SMTP, but I can't seem to get either to work. Could someone possibly give me some insight?

Hi,

You should be able to send emails from your MyBB forum through the standard PHP mail() function, since we do not allow connections to external SMTP servers. You can send mail from any email account created in cPanel.

How would I achieve this though? Because I have my email setup on my cpanel and I have it set to php mail, but I check the System Mail Logs and it shows an error.
