My son is really into MineCraft, and wants to create a MineCraft server. Is hosting a MineCraft server allowed with the free hosting?

Unfortunately, Minecraft server hosting is separate from shared web hosting, so you wouldn't be able to host a Minecraft server on our free hosting service. If you wanted to use x10Hosting for your Minecraft server, you would need a VPS to do this. http://x10vps.com/

No. X10Hosting (shared) is only for web hosting. In addition, you would need SSH access and the ability to install packages (like Java) which isn't possible on free hosting.
