Mod_Security Causing Permission Error

Myself and other users of my phpbb forum have been getting the following error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /phpbb/posting.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I have looked this up on phpbb to see if it is a problem with the forum software itself, but all help seems to point at it being involved with the host's mod_security.
Is there any way that I can fix this?

I have done a little troubleshooting to see what triggers the error, and it seems to always happen when someone is trying to reply to a topic and their post contains more than 3 links.

Hi Halcyon3,

The errors I'm seeing are being triggered by a ModSecurity rule that is blocking submissions with more than four links in a single post--are you posting more than 4 links in a post? We can look into modifying this rule if it is being too vigorous. This is generally an anti-spam measure.

Yes we are in some cases. My forum is for a guild in World of Warcraft and we usually post our loot logs on it which may have up to 10 or more links, I will add a screenshot so you can see what I mean. Is it possible to bypass this on individual account options, as I can see that in some cases people would not need more than 4. I would say working with 6-8 links would be great

I'm going to speak with our management team to see if we can relax this rule a bit.
