My account was suspended due to insufficient use and I got an email saying I could unsuspend it by clicking a link but when I went to click it my webhosting account doesn't exist anymore!

I need my webhosting account and my files to be recovered immediately!

Unfortunately I'm showing the account was suspended for inactivity, then later terminated due to no response in accordance with our Terms of Service. Once suspended for inactivity, you would have had 2 weeks (14 days) to unsuspend, or it queues the account for termination - this looks to have occurred starting on April 2nd, when the account was suspended. The account was then terminated 14 days later on April 16th.

Once the account was terminated, all data related to it was removed from the server. You're still able to sign up again for a new hosting account if you wish, however we cannot recover any of the information that was present on the account due to the termination. Should you opt to sign up for a new account, please ensure that you are logging in to the portal at https://x10hosting.com/portal/ at least once every 30 days, as this is how we gauge account inactivity.

Can you make an exception for this time please? My files haven't changed for the past six months or so. Just recover them from whatever backup you have and I promise to download them and then you can delete my webhosting account for good. Please. Thank you.

Dude, I missed the deadline by a day. Come on. I know you keep backups.

From "Terms of Service" (TOS)...
6. System Backups
Backups are the sole responsibility of the customer. x10Hosting retains and offers backups to the customer but does not guarantee this service from failure. It is recommended all customers keep their own backups. Backups will not be provided to account holders who have been suspended for breaching the terms outlined on this page.

7. Inactivity
Accounts found to be inactive are suspended for a 14 day period and then removed from our servers (terminated). All data including any type of backup or stored information is removed with the account.* To prevent an account from being suspended for inactivity it is required users visit the x10Hosting Account Portal located at https://x10hosting.com/portal/ at least once every 30 days. Accounts must have a working website within 1 week.

Look, I understand the technicalities., but a few keystrokes worth of effort on your end would save me literally weeks worth of effort on my end. I know you can do this if you want to. You can reach me through private messaging if you don't want it to be a public matter. Just, please help me.

Hello grandbaz,

I'm sorry, but as others have said, we cannot get your files back. In other words, once they are gone, they are gone.

As hbazer rightly pointed out, on free hosting backups are your responsibility and not x10Hosting's. Certain premium services do offer regular automatic backups, but on free hosting backups are the sole responsibility of the customer.

a few keystrokes worth of effort on your end would save me literally weeks worth of effort on my end. I know you can do this if you want to.
Unfortunately it is not that simple. No backups are available at customers' leisure on free hosting. Though x10Hosting might keep server backups (in case of migrations, maintenance, etc), there is no way of easily retrieving individual customer files.

Thank you, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
