Is it possible to use my own domain name on free plan?
I already have smf forum which I would like to move to your servers but would like to keep domain name the same.
Also what would be the easiest way to move it over? The current host it's using c-panel.

Hi python01,
1. Yes you can add your own domain name on free plan, they allow up to 2 Addon Domains on free plan.
2. For moving the forum follow the steps :) -

a. Download all the files in the SMF forums backup
b. Backup your SQL database.
c. Setup a new database on your new host.
d. Restore your SQL on this database.
e. Upload all the files to your new FTP.
f. Open the config file in your SMF forum, change the structure to the new file or http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Repair_settings.php tool can do most of the work for you automatically, If you custom themes and/or mods you need to do it manually.
Hope it helps :) !!

Hi python01,

Just to add to what @techar75 said, you can use own domain name by first setting it to use our nameservers (ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com) and adding it as a Parked or Addon domain. For further information, please see http://x10hosting.com/wiki/Domain

Thank you,
