im confused... why and what is googlepages? ive heard of it but i have no idea what it is?

If it just some hosting, why not simply use x10?

It looks like he has his content hosted here on x10, http://josephryan.x10hosting.com/ but he's using GooglePages to display his site through an iFrame. An old trick to making your site look like it has a different URL than it really does.

Although, the difference between http://joseph2ryan.googlepages.com/ and http://josephryan.x10hosting.com/ is marginal except for the name-brand of Google.

I would skip the embedding of your site through GooglePages and just link to your site on x10. If you need Google stats, sign up for Google Analytics.

Edit: As for the design of the site, colors look alright. The site itself is small, so someone like me using a 19" monitor has to squint to see everything. Also, black text on a navy blue background is very difficult to read. Try changing the text color to white.

Wow, I really like that quote. Can I use that? ... That would be considered trolling and were is the helpful criticism?

Anyway, I found your site cool. I like the entrance, it's neat, never seen that before (I don't normally go looking for things like that). Also I do like the links, except how your mouse doesn't change and nothing happens to the links when you hover or click them. Maybe something to alert the user they are about to click the link would be nice.

One more thing, on your profile page, that image behind the white text needs to be a darker one. Its hard to read the white text with a greyscale image next to it. Just my thoughts.

Anyway, Looks like it is coming along nicely.
