mysql server down?

Hi,

I keep getting an authentication error for my MySQL database even though I have specified the correct username and password; I have quadruple checked them.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

I see that your database is listed as _system in cPanel, yet in your configuration it is listed as _mfripper

That would be what's causing it, your script is trying to connect to a database that does not exist.
