MySQL update???

Would it be possible to update the MySQL to v5.1.6?

I use a script I downloaded and I really know few about php and MySQL. After searching a bit why the update of the script wasn't working I found out that I needed MySQL v5.1.6 in stead of v5.0.91, the current one. Another possibility, they say, was to have "super rights" [something about this name tells me I'm not getting it that easy]

I am now downgrading my version of the script again so I don't need the new MySQL, but I'd like to know if there's a possibility of an upgrade some day. If there is, when?

Eventually I'm sure it will be upgraded. However since it is shared hosting we can't do that for you only, and also we are due to this not able to grant any special rights to one person either.

I'll take it up with the head admin, but I can not give an eta for when an upgrade would be scheduled, right now it is not something that is planned at all as far as I know.
