So I launched like three or so processes involving SHOUTcast servers, and I TOTALLY jacked up on two of them and I realize that I can update to v2. I need an admin to kill all of the processes so I can revise the config files and work on a more efficient setup before re-launching.

account: jpstudio
ports: 8000, 8002, 8004, 8005, 8010, 8015, 8020, 8080, 8082, 8084, 8086.
services involved: sc_trans and sc_serv.

For each server open, it'll drain resources, so don't tell me you can't do it. lol You're only helping yourself. I can live with just opening more ports, but that would be immoral on my end.

Thanks in advance.

btw, if you guys can tell me how to kill them by myself, I would gladly do it.

You appear to have actually gotten permanently suspended for this. And I quote:

"space provided by x10hosting is to be used to create a functional website, we do not allow bots, content scrapers, or any other script that runs continuously on your account."

To quote the rest of the reason: "shoutcast runs a hell of a lot longer than we allow."

This is a permanent suspension and you cannot be unsuspended for any reason.

Edit: Also, being suspended would've killed the processes off the server anyways.

that's kinda why i wanted to learn how to kill it... i don't plan to use it all the time. I just wanted to use it for a night and kill it off.

but that seems fair, i guess... could you still tell me for future reference?

Far as I know without access to the server, you can't kill the processes once they've started. Not that it matters since you shouldnt've been running Shoutcast to begin with - we're a WEBHOST, not a shoutcast host.

I highly recommend upgrading to our VPS services if you want to run a Shoutcast server. They're just not allowed on our free services.

Our VPS services are located at http://x10vps.com

A VPS is a virtual private server, you're fully in control of it.

You have SSH access to the server and are able to kill any processes.

You can install anything on it as long as it doesn't breach the terms of service or exceed the resource usage limits. Those limits are less restrictive than free-hosting though.
