I would like to use my own domain name, but am unable to change the name servers with my registrar to point to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com. Because I can't set the name servers, I am unable to park my domain.

I have configured the domain to point to a free dns service elsewhere. What records do I need to set to get my domain to point my x10 site using those nameservers?

I've tried just setting a CNAME, but this caused redirects to https://x10hosting.com/website-coming-soon instead of my site.

Setting an CNAME (or A record) won't work since with the domain not having our name severs you can't add it to your account, and if the domain is not added to your account, the server have no idea what content to show when someone requests the domain. CNAME does not associate the domain with your account in any way, it is just a way to tell the internet where (what server) your content is located.

I'd start with contacting the registrar and see if they can sort it out their end, if they tell you it has to have a record on our name servers before you can do the change we need to sort that manually and would need to know the domain in that case.

Thank you for your reply.

I have spoken to the registrars, and they say they need the name servers to be configured before they point the domain to them.
Can you add them manually please? The domain is addems.co.za

Hello,
I have now parked the domain to your account, so you should now be able to set the name servers at your registrars end. If you would have preferred having the domain as an addon domain instead you can easily change that once you have set the name servers.

Thank you for your help. I have set the name servers. I'll check that it's all working tomorrow. :)

Seems to be working for me. Gray on Gray. S.B. fine artist. (looks like you copied the html from your old site -- you might want to edit out the html comment saying it is hosted at brand X)

Yes. It's all working perfectly, and I've updated that stray comment. X10hosting is way better ;).
