need help regarding phpbb

i just installed phpbb forum with a name xyz.x10hosting.com

when i want to enter into the forum i goes to xyz.x10hosting.com/forum

but actually i want to come up like this xyz.x10hosting.com

sorry my englihs is week

did you add a subdomain such as forum.x10hosting.com because if you didn't create a subdomain it won't exist

Might not be too late if you havn't done much to your new forum, but you would want to upload all the files in the phpbb folder to your site root. so that when your ready to install go to xyz.x10hosting.com/install/

After the installation is completed, your forum will be able to be accessed via xyz.x10hosting.com

1. Look for the icon that says Sub Domain Like this

Then Click it and then input forums

Then Click Create

What he is refering to in the original post is he wants the forum in his main doamins root, not in a subdomain of his main doamin, so adding a subdomain is irrelevant here.

Looks to me as you deleted the existing files, so I guess you're about to start over.

As long as you put ALL forum related files directly into public_html and NOT in public_html/forum, before installing, you will end up with what you want, the forum opening on xyz.x10hosting.com. The path for installation would then be xyz.x10hosting.com/install if you place the files correctly.
