I have a Hosting website that has different plans for different services, I want integrated in it a billing system where users can choose the the plans using forms (radio button etc) and be asked questions in a text field and after all has been completed click submit which takes them to pay into my paypal. Basically I want a flexible billing system that can send out invoices etc.

WHMCS is your answer.

lhyman: It's impossible to host off your x10 account and we would find out fast.

Even if it's not hosted at x10, isn't this a dodgy thing to post on a competitor's website?

In a way yes and no. WHMCS is a great product, it was built as a hosting tool and it's expanded to more.

It can also be used by developers, as they have this great licensing add-on located here: http://whmcs.com/licensing.php. It can also be used as a standalone billing client for your website or you could write a custom module and have it do whatever you want.

I like to empower people about this, as it's an option if they want to do billing for anything they own. And if he had did a quick google search this would have pulled up in the first few results, so I just wanted to help him out.

No, I actually meant: isn't it dodgy/ is it allowed for the original poster to request help with his rival web-hosting service, in a thread here at x10?!!

He didn't link to it... So it's not against ToS.

Firstly, I am a user on x10 that is paying for services, I actually am co-owner of a site here that is hosted on a VPS and was seeking simple information. So that assumption on your part lhyman was not necessary. Brandon thanks so much for your help.

you never mentioned anything about your account type or your url, how are we to know are we supposed to read your mind?

I have a Hosting website that has different plans for different services

You state nothing about who you are. The question, why should we help you is simple, X10 gives me free hosting, to give back to the X10 community, I try to help the users as much as I can. I don't work for X10.

But when you come off by starting that you have a hosting company and then you are here posting on the forums here asking for help... I feel, since you already have a hosting company and most of us here are just users, the feeling I get is that you should be providing answers and not questions..

Again, if you want an educated answer next time, please provide all the details in your question, as we are not mind readers.

No problem man, actually your paid client center is WHMCS; it's a good example of it.
