new site, need feedback

ok here is my new site its still a work in progress but the main concern i have is my template now im using a laptop so it looks fine but as laptops are usually brighter than pc monitors im not sure if it look too dark and if the text is unreadable.

any other comment are welcome

Looks ok, commercial template by the look of it so cross browser compatibilty should not a problem.

Black / orange colour scheme works well but the blue/ purple roll-over menu less so, maybe a lighter shade of the orange and the grey perhaps instead?

What does jar the 'feel' of the page IMHO are the three large buttons (faq,members,search) icons might do the job better. Did look for some 'Goth' examples but kept getting 'Emo' and horror, as it's your scene you probably know where to look for more relevent icons better than I do.

i like all of it, except for the left hand navigation when you mouse over the links the pinkish/red is hard on my eyes, im using a laptop screen, but you might want to tone that down a little bit. Other than that i like the site, keep up the good work!

The only thing that wasn't mentioned above is that the number of people that voted for each selection in the poll isn't aligned properly. I see:

thanks for all the feedback and i decided to add a completley new template this one is alot brighter so everything can be seen i cant see any contrasting parts and everything seems to be aligned as it should but once again i leave it up to you guys to give feedback and suggestions
