Have only one username, one database, permissions to that user assigned to full. Get this error 100% of time.

I've deleted and reconstructed the database. Created a new database and checked permissions.

Please advise

Hi fernwood,

I took a look at your account, and it looks the contents of your home directory has been deleted. Your home directory contains many important files that cPanel needs to work correctly. Unfortunately there is no easy way for us to restore files in the home directory without us re-creating the account.

Would you like us to re-create your account? :)

Thank you,

I removed the account completely and reinstalled the forum again. When I was still unable to access the phpmyadmin, I deleted everything and requested the subdomain be removed.

Since then, I'm trying one last time to get this forum up and running. Have reinstalled phpbb, set a new database, new login, new password AND still no access to phpmyadmin.

Yes, please fix the account, modify or delete whatever needs to be in order to have access. I think its a security token issue which can't be resolved at my side.

Hi fernwood,

Yes, this is most likely happening because many important files have been deleted from your home directory. I'm going to re-create your hosting account momentarily, as this will create these files. This will take a few minutes, and you will be unable to access your account while I do this.

I will update you once this is complete.

Thank you,

Yes, phpMyAdmin is now accessible for the first time on this new forum. I understand that when you looked at the issue initially, all files (including those in /public_html) were removed. What I'd like to know for historical reasons and for anyone who may find themselves looking at this thread with the same problem in the future is; What was the cause of this initial issue and could it have been fixed at the user/admin side?

Thank you for the quick response in solving the problem.

You could create a backup of all account contents, though I'm not sure if this should really be done. The main thing to backup is the site that would be in 'public_html/'. As for the repair, @Dead-i has said that he had to re-create the hosting account in order to get it all working again, which would mean that it's a non-user operation.

phpMyAdmin became non accessible again after I migrated an existing database to x10hosting.

Understanding that being a free subscriber only affords me intermittent assistance, I took matters into my own hands and came up with a bypass to the phpMyAdmin problem.

See:
http://www.techinfobit.com/how-to-import-export-database-without-any-extra-installation/

Download Adminer 4.2.1 from this site: http://www.adminer.org/#download

I installed it in my public_html folder then went to my site https://mydomain.x10host.com/adminer-4.2.1-en.php From there you essentially get most of the functions that phpMyAdmin does while being able to work around the error I was reporting above.

In the end (after maybe seven tries) of going to mysql making, deleting, and renaming databases and user permissions, I reloaded phpbb back to its default, immediately uploaded the adminer php file, ran it (your username and password for x10 gets you in - you don't need to define a database), imported my existing database, assigned permissions and that was it.

Don't know or care at this point if phpMyAdmin is working here or not. Adminer is totally taking care of business.
