Not connecting to an external SQL database

it just won't connect to it but on other previous sites it does work but it ain't right now on this one any fixes??

Remote SQL isn't available on free hosting, the ports (inbound and outbound) are blocked by the firewall. You can only connect to a locally hosted SQL database using "localhost" as the hostname.

If you absolutely need remote SQL it would be an option on premium hosting

Hi nexpvpmc,
Are you trying to connect website hosted at x10hosting to some external database or a website hosted somewhere else to database at x10hosting?
If the latter is true, that's not possible as per Anna & bdistler.
