nProtect Gameguard

Is there a downloadable gameguard for games? Also I was wondering if there was a website customized version of nProtect like a firewall. (My typing feels a bit sloppy)

It all depends really. Many times games themselves will come with anti-cheat programs such as my most hated anti-cheat program PunkBuster, or Valve Anti-cheat which I like. Typically, unless you install an Anti-cheat program the game supports, there's no way to add one. nProtect GameGuard is pretty much just as bad as Punkbuster; rootkitting itself in your system, disabling your crap, and messing up your gaming experience.

And unfortunately all this protection is meaningless, as soon as punkbuster/VAC/etc. updates, the hackers update their stuff too. Best detection is the human eye. However it does help a little with malware, but you should still have your own anti-virus/spyware running.

These anti-cheat systems are built directly into the game, its not something you can add yourself.
