Gotta love Firefox for the customization ability. Never messed with Opera too much and IE... well... it's just IE.

Firefox.

I'll rarely recommend a specific piece of software but Firefox is something I'm actually pushing people to at least try. Beats the pants off of IE.

I'm also under the impression that Firefox is 100% W3C compliant where as IE isn't and uses their own proprietary technologies like CSS behaviors, which is why some pages don't display properly in Firefox.

Firefox is 99.9% W3C compliant, "-moz" in css will make your site invalid.

Firefox rules! IE is not worth a bad comment. :rant2: Opera is proprietary. :lockd:

FireFox forever. It does eat up memory (but thankfully nowhere near as much as Internet Explorer), but it's got everything you could possibly need/want. Opera isn't bad, but it does have compatibility issues with some pages. And IE? Why people use/support it defies explanation . . .

firefox is my most favorite by far. i mean it does have longer load times than ie or opera but it has the most customization.

opera is awesome as well. i use both firefox and opera. while firefox consumes alot of memory opera only takes about 30k. and opera is pretty secure as well. it just feels kind of empty compared to firefox in customization.

internet exploror... may i say no more? by far the worst browser ever made and yet, half the human population uses internet exploror because they never heard of firefox or opera.

Firefox all the way!!! I use Opera on mobile devices and I only use IE for Microsoft Update and for sites that need ActiveX... Other than that, IE is never touched on my computer.

Yeah! Wohoo! IE7 all the way. I hate Firefox 2-3 AND Opera

Opera: Just basically caches the crap out of everything.

Firefox: I just hate it, its slow and I just dont like it, Like the tabs, to open a new tab it is either Ctrl+T or File > New Tab, Guess what? IE7 has a little button right next to the rest of the tabs, unlike Firefox, sure Firefox has a list of tabs... Also guess what? So does IE! And you can have it go to a screen and show ALL the current tabs. I hate Firefox especially and all other browsers BUT IE because Firefox wont display my CSS on my site right. Its valid. If IE is "the worst" why can it render it while firefox and no other browsers cant? Seriously, no excuse.

IE7: The best! Yes it has its qwuirks, but I used it since the begining and will never stop using it.

In my opinion, IE is bad because:

It isn't W3C compliant at all;
Loading just a couple of plug-ins will cause it to take forever to start;
The so-called "user-friendly" interface is anything but, and it's ugly too;
You have to reload the page just to use an ActiveX control (which by the way is only used by IE);
It doesn't have any stand-out features;
It isn't as secure as other browsers;
It isn't open source;
Any other reasons I missed.​

And also, FireFox most likely won't display CSS properly on your site because your CSS isn't W3C compliant.

i prefer to use Firefox as it is quick and it does not take up much ram or hdd space. and you can set it to do anything.

Internet explorer is OK but sometimes is slow and is annoying how it is always showing security alerts

I have never tried opera

most people here will have thought about what browser they use as we are all (suppossedly) technically minded but if it were a worldwide server ie would win hands down not because its good but because its bundled with windows

I like firefox a lot more than the competition. I do like some of the features of Opera, but I've always had problems with it running incredibly slow. Also firefox has some great plugins and stuff. Internet Explorer is... well, lets not go there.

Firefox rocks, I'm happy I got converted out of IEism. IE is slow... and the overall is crappy. Firefox ~ Customizable love... harder, better, faster, stronger...

I have Norton on my computer... IE gets even slower with the phishing-filter! x'D
