page update

I have updated my pages and uploaded them to the public folder but when i try to access my website it still shows the old pages and i dont understand why?

Actually, it is clearing his browser cache, not flushing DNS, that will help in his case.

Depends on the browser.

In most cases though the option would be located in settings menu, or in the actual settings popup. Also with some browsers you can force it to reload the site from the server by holding down [ctrl] and then pressing [f5] (I know for sure that works in Firefox and Chrome)

FireFox:
Tools --> Options --> Privacy --> 'clear recent history'

IE
Tools --> General --> Browsing History --> Delete
