Hi guys,

I purchased a domain from a third party seller and successfully switched the nameservers. Following that, I parked the domain here at x10hosting. However, I'm not able to access my website with the domain I bought, despite the fact that it's supposed to look at my /public_html/ directory for files (according to the domains page in my x10hosting control panel).

I installed Wordpress just fine, and can access it just fine using the URL provided to me by x10hosting when I first signed up. But I don't understand why my parked domain isn't working.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi mwongx10,

The Parked Domain you have pointing to /public_html/ looks to be showing a WordPress installation page for me right now, and your main x10host.com domain is also doing the same. If you see differently, you might want to try clearing your cache and flushing your DNS. :)

Thank you,

Hi!

Thanks very much for the quick reply!

And yes, I deleted my Wordpress files and did a fresh install because I thought there was something I did wrong during the installation that prevented me from being able to use my parked domain.

While I did follow your instructions to clear my cache and flush my DNS, I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm still only able to access my Wordpress website using the myname.x10host.com. I'm still unable to access the website using the parked domain.

@Dead-i , could you please check my parked domain once more? Maybe it's just my computer that's giving me problems, but I don't know what else I may be doing wrong.

Hi,

I can now see Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start writing! on both your x10Hosting domain and your Parked Domain. If you're still seeing problems after clearing your browser cache and flushing your computer's DNS, it might be that your DNS provider is caching this. ;)

Thank you,
