Hey everyone, i recently bought a copy of photoshop from adobe, and i have been having some problems with it..currently i am not able to type anything, when i click on the text tool and attempt to make a text box it works... but as soon as i attempt to type anything, the text only appears in the top left corner of the resize square, it can not be made bigger or smaller, i have tried changing the size of the writing and the size of the text box, ive tried resetting the preferences, ive tried deleteing all the cache files called adobefnt*.lst and such...i read something about an AMD processor bug, and to remove some files outside of the adobe folder but that also failed, then i read about Spybot programs disrputing PS CS3 so i checked... and Spybot Residents was running, i shut it down and it still didn't work...everything i have tried hasn't worked. I ran a program to check for corrupt fonts... but none of them are corrupt. Does anyone have any recommendations? I even tried reinstalling photoshop, it's gotten to the point where i want to just send Adobe back my copy and get my money back, it is extremely annoying when you can't type anything.

Try either contacting adobe or updating it.

If nothing else, reinstall.

I had to return my copy of CS3, i dont like it, i managed to find a copy of cs2

for my home computer. CS2 for me is better, costs a fortune though!

Did you try just clicking the screen, instead of creating a box?
By doing that you should be able to do everything else perfectly fine; at least it works for me.
