Installed Joomla manually then through the cPanel Softaculous apps wizard and when I go to the home page or the administrators page to login, a dialog pops up asking me to download the php file rather than have it run on the server. It's a free account and I thought that it included php functionality.

Any ideas or help would be great.

Thanks

Hi,

This sounds really strange; what URL is this happening at? :)

I'm sorry I missed this message. The reason was that I copied over an old .htaccess file. I never thought an .htaccess file would allow a user to view and download php code.

It's fixed now. Thanks!
