PHP passthru

I use Joomla 3 on my Webspace. In the Installing Process of a new Component i bought, is the PHP Passthru disabled...
Could you give me a hand to enable this?

This function you are requesting to be enabled would be very dangerous to enable on shared hosting.

do to the large security risk - for free-hosting accounts - x10hosting has disabled (blocked) these PHP Functions --> [exec] - [shell_exec] - [enable dl] - [system] - [passthru] - [phpinfo]

Theres no way to use the Component (Easy Social) ?
So passthru wont be enabled for my account?

Hi,

Although I have no experience with EasySocial, I don't see any reason why it would need access to PHP passthru(). It might be best to ask the author to see if it's possible to run it without. For context, PHP passthru() is used to execute a raw shell command on the server (similar to "exec"), which is something we simply cannot allow due to the amount of abuse we receive on free hosting.
