Hello x10 Forums, first post, and hopefully this won't be such a big issue, as I want to use the free hosting for my start up, then as it grows I get the premium.

Anyways, I digress to my problem.

I've changed my hosting about 3 times before finding this place, and changed my DNS each time through my Domain registrar. Well when I came to x10 it seems my issues are even weirder than I expect.

At first, it took time for my site to pop up (even though the registrar said the nameservers are set, cache is cleared, and all is fine on their end), so I just shrugged it off and continued on.

I set up the addon domain, and then quickly went to Scriptlicious... installed WordPress onto the addon domain (naturally), using default settings...

Now the fun part.

My entire site, even the admin, randomly will give me a 403 Error. I dug up older topics about 403 on these forums to see that the issue has to do with permissions (obviously... I've worked on many websites in the past 10 years, I know my way around...)

So my issue is what is with the random 403 errors? I'm using default permissions set up via WordPress install... in fact I haven't even touched a FTP manager yet! Is this is my ISP's cache? Is it mine? I've cleared my cache and cookies on both my Desktop PC and my Chromebook... yet I still have the problem. It's all pretty random too. Sometimes it also doesn't even load any CSS for the admin page or site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty confident that it has to do with some cache and/or DNS issues. Hopefully just my ISP's... but if you guys have any idea, please let me know. Thanks!

Not sure it is related, but I noticed that your public_html was set to have the perms 755, with the way the domains are setup by cpanel here that one should be 750, I have changed that for you.

I clicked around a bit, after the change, and haven't seen any errors. Are you still seeing random 403 errors?

Thanks Anna for the reply. I am not running into any more 403 errors it looks like... and my public_html folder was changed by me to 777 to see if that would fix the problem. I'm not 99% sure it was my ISP's cache that needed to be flushed. I do appreciate you looking into the matter.

Having permissions set at 777 (world writable) on folders and files would actually cause a 403 error as a security measure with the way the servers are set up here, at least for free hosting.
