Remote MySQL Connections No Longer Working!

Since this mornings Web server maintenance remote MySQL connections no longer work! Has this been implemented on purpose or is it a mistake?

Remote MySQL was disabled a while back.

Well it has been working fine until this morning, so no, it wasn't disabled.

Remote MySQL on free servers was disabled years ago. If you have been able to get in despite that, it was likely a glitch in the system which has been fixed with the latest server tweaks our administrators performed.

I'm thinking he talks about accessing an offsite mySQL server FROM x10hosting.

This should still work as far as I know, did the other end, ie the ones that run the mySQL server you are connecting to, make any changes that you know of?

Yes, that's correct. Apologies, I should have made that clearer. No, the other end is my own server.
