remote sql?

Anyone know if we can do it? Never seems to work for me.. could someone point me in the right direction?

If you're trying to access x10s sql from home, you won't be able to; cPanel has that part in the system because we can't remove it but it's not actually cpanel stopping it. The firewall on x10hosting does.

Paid will allow it, but that's why you're running into issues with it on free.

Alright, figured as much - i tried it because PHPmyadmin isnt letting me use it and i need to run some querys :/

In that case if you can still edit the original topic title, change it to "PHPMyAdmin troubles" or something similar. If it won't let you, open a new ticket with that as the subject so it can get fixed up for ya (advocates can't get in to fix it) :)

Ps. for the record, the remote mysql part in cPanel specify which remotely located mysql server your site should be able to connect to, not who can connect to your mysql databases.
