Just yesterday I was getting errors that the fsockopen function wasn't working (connection kept timing out). After some forum lurking, I learned that it might be because the firewall is filtering the outgoing traffic. I tried to PM Corey to request the IPs to be added, but I keep getting a page saying that I'm not allowed to access the page. Can someone please help me? I'm trying to connect to these two servers:
http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/ (128.32.129.243)
http://websoc.reg.uci.edu/ (128.200.148.50)
*both at port 80
In case you're wondering, I'm trying to connect to these servers because my website is a class scheduler for students. It reads in the classes from the school's website and allows the user to save their schedule to another server (a server that hosts a defunct class scheduler).
