Reveal hidden files in cpanel file manager

Another user didn't check "show hidden files" and clicking "reset all interface settings" does nothing. Adding this to the url "&showhidden=1&saveoption=1" works but I need hidden files to always show. It has to be possible?

out here the only known x10hosting's free-hosting server with that issue is [ xo4 ]
for a workaround try - at cPanel x3 (not x10hosting Basic) Home page - right click on [ File Manager ] - select 'open in new tab'

Yep it's x04, and the new tab option didn't work. But when I switched to basic and then back to cpanel x3, the new tab options appends this to the url which does work:
?dir=public_html%2Fwp&showhidden=1
