There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to review. Looks like the default Joomla template, and there isn't much content. I would look into downloading a new template (or better yet, making a custom one,) and adding a heck of a lot more content. Also, I would change the favicon if I were you.

looks a bit plain and simple to me i think if you talking about webdesign and offering tutorials then your site should reflect your expertise and showcase what you can do.

But its a good start keep the content rolling on

As I mentioned there I suggest you use this to integrate phpBB with Joomla properly.

And yes, get a new template
