Hi. On Sunday, ALL my incoming RSS feeds stopped working.
Apparently, outgoing port 80 requests from php have been blocked?

I am informed that there is a whitelist..
Can I request that http://rss.api.ebay.com be added to the whitelist please?

My website relies on RSS feeds to create posts. without that, the site is dead in the water.

I will relay the information.

However, it is unlikely that an IP to allow rss feeds to be included on a page will be added unless it is of general interest, in other words, if you're the only one to ask about that specific feed, it is probably not going to be added any time soon.

The IPs most likely to be added are those used by various scripts for version checks and automated installation/updating of the script in question.

That was when we blocked outbound on port 80, to get rid of abuse.

It's an inconvenience we know, but we are seeing much more stability in the servers already. The abusive users that felt a proxy to be cool on shared, free hosting can no longer hog the resources and cause trouble, nor can those that had the same idea about rapidleech scripts...

Hi.
That's all very well, but I'm not running rapidleech (whatever that is), or any kind of proxy service.
All I'm doing is reading some rss feeds every few hours via a cron job.
As I say, all was going well until Sunday, and then "Bam!".

All I need is for rss.api.ebay.com to be added to your whitelist. That's all.

If it's not going to happen, then please let me know as soon as possible, and I'll switch my hosting elsewhere, along with removing all references to x10 (banner ads, etc).
