Ruby on Rails

I asked Livewire (over IRC) If Ruby was installed, and it wasn't.

I really like Ruby as a programming language as it is really nicely laid out. Its more of a mix between Python and Perl (and more like pseudo-code...).

Can it be implemented anytime in the near future? I really like it as a programming language and I find it a shame its not available on the free hosting service.

Since they canceled Perl and Python, I would doubt that Ruby will be offered any time soon.

Even if it is, I very much doubt that they would offer Rails.

EDIT: Yes... slightly off-topic. But still. Don't list services there unless you provide them.
EDIT(2): And why not provide hosting for Ruby on Rails? Its an awesome platform to develop on... Try it out.

yeah you can see here also that they are providing free python, perl and asp.net hosting

Known bug, have forwarded it on in the past.

Think for the moment though they're working on more tweaks to the hosting itself to try and make it better.

If you've done any RoR development, you know that a lot of it involves server side commands (databases, creating projects, etc)

Since we don't give SSH access, you wouldn't be able to do this even if Ruby + Rails was installed/configured..
