Slow response

Hello,

My VPS is very very slow. Even at midnight (central time) right now it is very slow to respond. I have tested that it is not, in fact, my drupal installs or something I had done and I am pretty sure it is not. It seems that there are several, sometimes 5-10 seconds before I start to get a response from the server at all.

Is there anything I can do about it?

Need some more details in order to help diagnose this. To start with, how many processes are running and what percentage of memory is being used? What is the total memory available? What OS are you using on the VPS? Are you using any kind of GUI for server management? Have you tried rebooting the server?

Along with that: do a traceroute to your vps from your computer! What latency are ya getting?

Along with those questions it would be helpful to know what webserver you are using and how it and php are setup.
