Slow site loading

Well.. I have a problem.. My site is slow as hell and after every few minutes I get:

The connection has timed out


The server at trilldesigns.com is taking too long to respond.


* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Maybe you can fix it..

I am experiencing exactly the same thing. There's another two topics about this, but it doesn't seem too much has been done about the problem yet:

Edit: funnily enough ftp is working very fast... But it runs over a different IP (and possibly interface).

Yea.. FTP is fast but but.. site loads slow. I wonder what's wrong..

The site loaded up very fast here. Starka seems to be having on and off reports today about slowdowns.

It's happening again right now. Seems there are some major problems with the network interface / apache process that is serving the websites on starka, since it is rather intermittent, despite the server itself seemingly being fine (ftp and cpanel).

Hmm.. now FTP timed out.
But um.. Is it possible to transfer my account to another server or something ?

It seems all services on starka are now lagging... (Strangely CPanel is now completely unavailable, sites are still available though.)
@Jaaan: I don't think it's possible to change server: someone else also requested this a while back, but it wasn't done

STARKA IS REALLY SLOW

I am confirming the reports that STARKA server is very slow. I got information form my friends in UK that they are unable to access my site for 20 seconds over a high speed line. I am experiencing the same problem here. Working with my WordPress installation is also troublesome due to slow server response.

I have noticed a thread by Corey stating that he is doing some upgrades on free servers and there will be some connection problems for free users. The thread is located here http://forums.x10hosting.com/service-alerts/105639-free-servers.html

Admins, please have a look at the issue as soon as possible.

The admins are aware. It's probably just a server issue, or someone's attacking the server.


It will be fixed. OP's site loads, but slowly. (about 20secs)

Hellsheep is currently investigating starka and will be resolving any problems. Sorry for the inconveniences.
Edit:
Starka is running a maintenance program right now that is affecting free accounts. Hellsheep has verified this is the only problem with the server.
