I earlier used x10.mx domain. After reading above I added ns1.x10hosting.com & ns2.x10hosting.com server in my domain registrar website and add my domain in parked domain in cpanel here. But still in cpanel I see x10.mx domain and not my domain which I added. What to do? Please help!

Re: New Domain

@Rehanaa: don't spam, and don't revive long-dead threads.

@badguyscorporation15: don't threadjack, especially threads that are over four years old.

Leaving out essential information (such as what domains you're asking about) only makes answering your questions harder. Make sure you follow the directions in my sig.

You have "pcperts.com" as both a parked domain and an addon domain, which might cause problems and will likely prevent you from setting "pcperts.com" as your main domain (if that's what you wish). Get rid of one of them if you want to keep pcperts.x10.mx as your main domain, or get rid of both if you want pcperts.com as your main domain.

pcperts.com doesn't currently resolve to anything. When did you configure the domain on your registrar? It can take up to 48 hours (72 hours, on some servers) for domain changes to percolate through the domain system. In the meantime, check your registrar settings for pcperts.com and make sure it's set to use the X10 name servers.

The nameserver entries are set correctly.

x10hosting's nameservers do not contain an entry for his domain.

Possibly because of the double entry as parked and add-on.

Also, this is a public forum. Spidered by Google. Some users do not want their URLs posted here.

Hey as you told I have removed pcperts.com from my parked domain but when I go to addon domain pcperts.com is not there. Still when I go to x10hosting.com there it shows addon domain as pcperts.com . But in cpanel in addons pcperts.com is not there. Then how should I remove pcperts.com from addon?

Have you verified this? I can't even get an SOA record for pcperts.com.

Such a desire shows an ignorance on their part of how the web works. If they don't want certain people or things to access a resource, either don't put it online or require authorization; obscurity is never effective. The appropriate way of preventing Google (and other search engines) from indexing a site is to use robots.txt.

Then how should I remove pcperts.com from addon?
If it doesn't show up in cPanel, an admin will need to remove it manually. It doesn't take long to do, but admins tend to be busy, so you might need to wait.

Amazing. Everything (network-tools.com, networksolutions.com/whois-search, etc) I used shows that his nameservers are set to x10hosting.

While a direct inquiry to ns1.x10hosting.com shows that his domain is not listed there. Despite the fact that he added it to his account and both cPanel and JM shows it! That is not supposed to happen.

Then tell Corey to make this a private forum that Google will not search. And while you are at it, make sure that the ticket system makes it extremely clear that their requests will show up on a public forum.

What? Are you denying the awesome powers of robots.txt?!

Lookup has started…

; <<>> DiG 9.6.0-APPLE-P2 <<>> pcperts.com ns +multiline +nocomments +nocmd +noquestion +nostats +search
;; global options: +cmd

Whois is giving me the correct nameservers, though.

Hello,

Can you try re-adding the domain as you wish?

If it is still in cPanel, then yes it should show up on an inquiry to the name servers. If he has removed it from cPanel, the entries should be removed from our name servers, meaning an inquiry would come up with the NOT domain listed.

No matter what name servers he has set they will not return anything if there's nothing actually entered onto them, entries are not added when you set the name server at the registrar... They are added when you, in this case, add the domain to your account in cPanel, no sooner. And the entries are supposed to be removed from the name servers when the domain is removed from cPanel (not always the case though)

Regarding what shows in JM, that does not always reflect the correct conditions of what cPanel says. I've seen several cases where JM says the domain is added to the account (mainly when they once was an addon domain), while in the cPanel account the domain is no longer listed.

A note on the "Create [support] Request" page is a great idea. I've seen a couple threads where users have posted data they shouldn't have because they didn't realize this. Will you open a suggestion thread?

There really isn't a problem with posting domain names. Google won't even index them if they're not links (which, as this thread demonstrates, they won't be).

As for the domain configuration on the registrar, dnstrace and dnstracer (should have used those earlier) reveal that the root name servers refer to the X10 servers as the authority for pcperts.com, so the registrar config is working. The X10 name servers, not having an entry for pcperts.com, then refer to root name servers as the authority for the .com domain, which is why dig fails.

@badguyscorporation15: Brandon just took a look at this and deleted the misconfiguration. Wait a day or two for the automated processing to pick up the changes before setting your main domain.
