I was banned recently due to inactivity and once I unbanned myself, my database had changed. I don't know whether this is due to the current server changes or the unban but my sql database no longer functions.

it is likely to be to the changes.

Make sure that your script(s) is configured to use 'localhost' as database host, often this is set in a file called config.php.
