Hi. I was just wondering if I'm allowed to use the Statpress plugin for Wordpress: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/statpress/

I've been using it for over a month now, but I just noticed how much SQL data it writes. The table size is well over 13,000 entries. It makes a bunch of entries logging visitor data for every visitor.

The x10hosting TOS states that chat scripts are not allowed because of the number of SQL queries it takes, so I was wondering if using Statpress(even though its not a chat script) which writes quite a lot of data is allowed.

Thanks.

I think it's OK. Maybe there's a setting to reduce how much data is logged? Think of what data you really want. Do you want a page by page of every user's visit? Or is it good enough just to know who visited, when, how long, and where they're from?

If you've had it for a month and not ended up with a suspension for high resource usage you're probably good to go.

Besides, although it has many entries in the database, I guess not all were made on the same day, say you got 500 visitors a day. Unless all come at the same time there would in average be 0.35 entries per minute.

Whilst for an active chat it could easily be that amount on a day (technically a chat could have an entry made every 10 sec or so if it is active, estimated on how much time one fairly normal line of chat takes to write)
