I'm new to wildcards, but can you do both a wildcard subdomain as well as specifying subdomains?

I found this thread on a another forum that may be another way to do what you want to do without wildcards, which I don't think X10 supports very well if I remember your last thread correctly.

As long as the top domain lam5.com has it's DNS servers set to something else than ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com, you will not be able to manage the domain. (http://www.whois.net/whois/lam5.com for status of DNS servers)

Try changing your nameservers to:

ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

For future references, and so we can solve this problem again if it arises with someone else, what did you do that solved the problem?

If the x10 name servers are NOT used, any sub domains you want to add to your account must be created and configured at the registrar as well (if using A record for the tld, A record needs to be set for the sub domains as well).

Same goes for the pre-configured once like mail. If you want to be able to use mail.mydomain.com for mail server, the sub domain mail needs to be configured at the registrar.

Basically, as things are right now, you can't manage anything through cPanel.
