Suggestions for new features.

in the past couple of weeks we realised how limited x10 free hosting is. We are a group of game devs from all over the world coming together to start a game studio and we have literally no budget. I am the publisher/editor/technical manager and I am setting up the websites. I have chosen x10 Hosting because it is my go to place for website hosting at a fast and secure level. We are on no budget so premium isn't an option, we want to suggest improvements to the x10 hosting limitations.

• More MySLQ databases (just a couple more) or allow remote SLQ.
• More allowance for add on domains and sub domains. (Maybe 2 subdomains per add on domain and a couple of add on domains.
• More storage space for our web files.
• Ability for child companies/brands to make new accounts for their brand or company.

I'm not asking for all this to happen to us. I'm suggesting that you increase some of that as it is really limiting us to the amazing websites we could create. If you are unable to help us out on the free tier then we will need to switch web hosts to another which is something we really don't want to do.
As for the last one, apparently it's against the service for us to have a new x10 account for seperate games/apps or even child companies.

you are asking for the equivalent of paid hosting account for 'free'

x10hosting's free-hosting accounts are for a individual or a household - to have a present via a site on the World Wide Web (WWW) - for those individuals who can not afford a "paid for" hosting account

the current limits for x10hosting's free-hosting accounts have been develop during years of offering this 'fee' service both for what limits and features are needed for this free service - intended for a individual or a household - AND yet maintain one of the fastest and most secure free-hosting sites available to individuals today

I'm happy to answer some of your points.

More MySLQ databases (just a couple more) or allow remote SLQ.

The MySQL database limit can be worked around fairly easily because you can install multiple pieces of software in a single database. For example, if my website consisted of two WordPress installations, I could install them both in the same database if I made sure the table prefix was set to something else. Since you can practically install all the software on your account in one database, the limit should not be a massive issue, though I will note that our built-in Automatic Installer requires that you use a "new" database every time due to a limitation with some third-party software we use called "Softaculous". If you are running into this, you can install the software manually to get around it.

More allowance for add on domains and sub domains. (Maybe 2 subdomains per add on domain and a couple of add on domains.

Thanks for your feedback; I am aware that addon domains contribute to your subdomain limit, which can be an issue.

More storage space for our web files.

We actually offer unmetered disk space on our free hosting service (but there are, of course, some limits imposed in our Terms of Service that limit how you can use that space, such as being limited to 500MB for a personal photo gallery for example). However, to help prevent abuse, we start out new accounts at 512MB, and then we ask them to post in the Free Hosting section if they "qualify" for unmetered disk space and meet the requirements. Our requirements are...
* The account must be 7 days old.
* The account must be using at least 50% of their current disk space limit.
* The account must have a working, visible website that is in line with the Terms of Service.
If you think you match these, please make a new thread in the Free Hosting section and I'll upgrade you.

This one is a little bit tricky unfortunately. We generally allow 1 free hosting account per indiviudal or per household. We're not considering increasing this right now, because there does, unfortunately, need to be some kind of boundary in place to prevent people creating lots and lots of accounts.

Ok. Thanks. Well I guess Im going to be Using another web host. All I needed was a second account. And we are actually worldwide.
Thanks for your support. And I will definitely use the database prefix Option in the future.

Hi. For now were going to stick with x10. Its not going to allow us to do what we wanted but its Ok for now, and If we need a better host we will switch.
Would it be possible for us to get unlimited disk/storage space for our account?

It sounds like you are wanting reseller hosting if anything (presuming you are not wanting to have things being too complicated). X10's free hosting would not allow that, as the others pointed out. The only exception would be if it were to be a educational institution.

By that I meant we need to start a new account for our game. We currently have one account for the companies main website.
For now we should beable to fit everthing in the one account but when we grow and expand we will need to swich hosts since x10 doesnt allow multiple accounts.

At the moment, if we can get unlimited disk space we should be fine.
