Super Smash Bros. Brawl Mini Mushroom Trick

I don't know if this is well-known or not, but there's a nice little secret to the mini mushroom. After you get a mini-mushroom and shrink down to half size, press Z to use your shield and let it run out. You'll be stunned, as normal for about 2 seconds and then will grow to 2 times normal size, just as if you had gotten a mega mushroom! I know that this works in single-player story mode, but not sure about classic.

lol! nice find. it works on the original copy (the one when it was first released) but im not sure if they patched it on the newer copies. but that's a hella funny find!

I don't know about intentional from the higher ups, but some poor code monkey could have easily injected something like that into the game's code.
Very interesting, I hadn't heard of this one before.

Neither had I. I found it completely by accident. (Ironically, right before fighting the final boss).
