I am a bit confused. The site I created on the free hosting plan is a program that displays a copy of my local minecraft world using a google maps engine (http://overviewer.org/), but I have been suspended.

"This account as being used to host 2.5gb of Minecraft map data; this is a combination violation both of the gallery limit, and that we don't allow file hosting in general."

If you can't have a web site that has images and files, what can be hosted besides a database? I can't even find anyway to contact anybody as I am certain this is just a mistake in understanding what my site was doing.

Anybody got advice on how to get this fixed as I like using X10 and do not want to go somewhere else.

the ToS does say:
  • File Storage
Accounts are not to be used for file storage, your account will be permenantly suspended if found to be breaking this rule. Downloads are only allowed on your x10Hosting account if they have to do directly with your website. e.g. you developed custom software and are selling it or giving it away. Accounts may not be used for mirrors, game file hosting, or any other type of file hosting not specified here.
If you feel the suspension is in error, you need to submit an appeal from within your account portal to have a second review on the account.

It is not game files hosted there - It is the data from the game for use by the Overviewer program installed on the site to let myself and other people VIEW the world I have created offline!
There does not appear to be anywhere to submit a second review. Where is it?

Hi bajabx10,

There are a total of approximately 31,000 image files on your account for your Minecraft world, all of which accumulate to 2.5GB. Our free hosting service is purely intended for hosting websites, and is not intended for hosting game files. We cannot host Minecraft online maps on our free hosting servers of this size, for this reason.

Whether a site is violating the file hosting rule is at staff discretion. However, regardless of whether this is file hosting or not, you would still be violating our Image Gallery limit of 1GB.

As this is a zero-tolerance suspension, the account will remain suspended.

Thank you,

So to be clear, we cannot host image files used by an online web-based program (Overviewer in this case) if they exceed 1GB. None of these or any of the data files are used in any way except by the online web based Overviewer program in a Google maps engine (not downloaded or updated).

Fair enough.
I guess that puts an end to my use of X10. Pity, it was good.

Oh, and by the way, the link to the terms in the suspension messge does not work. http://x10hosting.com/terms

Neither does the one at the bottom of the pages - https://www.x10hosting.com/sso/terms

The one on the sign up page has nothing about 1gb image files and states "Every file on your site must have to do with the website you put up, we are not a file hosting service." which every file on my site does do (the Overviewer program that you seem to have mistaken for being minecraft)- https://www.x10hosting.com/legal/terms-of-service

You probably want to fix that.

Yeah, that link still doesn't have anything about not having more that 1gb of images except to say "Personal Image and Video Galleries: Personal galleries are limited to 1 GB of disk space for images and videos."

Since my images are not in a personal gallery but are used by the Google maps engine based Overviewer, you are going to need to change that too.
