Hello support

Could tell me if migration has anything to do with this notice I received this morning regarding CPanel.

The AutoSSL certificate expires on Jan 21, 2020
AutoSSL did not renew the certificate for “mysite.x10.mx”. You must take action to keep this site secure.

The “cPanel” AutoSSL provider could not renew the SSL certificate without a reduction of coverage because of the following problems:

The system failed to fetch the DCV (Domain Control Validation) file at “http://mail.mysite.x10.mx/.well-known/pki-validation/1E0E37C4026023316A82363F920959DD.txt” because of an error (cached): Could not connect to '198.91.81.12:80': Connection timed out.

The system generated this notice on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 3:10:39 PM UTC.
You can disable the “AutoSSL cannot request a certificate because all of the website’s domains have failed DCV (Domain Control Validation).” Type of notification through the cPanel interface: https://mysite.x10.mx:2083/?goto_app=ContactInfo_Change

I don't know what is causing this problem, nor do I know how to fix it.
What will happen to my website after January 21, 2020. If I cannot correct the problem.

Thanks for your help

-----------------

As far as I know my site works with (www) and not (https)
After doing a lot of research
I note that the x10hosting free portion does not support SSL or SSH certificates.

But why therefore I receive this notice,
What will be the consequences after January 21?

I received the same email! It includes a link to "the 'SSL/TLS Status' interface" that doesn't work. Mine says the following:

peyre.x10.mx: The AutoSSL certificate expires on Jan 21, 2020 at 12:00:00 AM UTC. At the time of this notice, the certificate will expire in 7 days, 10 hours, 2 minutes, and 37 seconds.

AutoSSL did not renew the certificate for “peyre.x10.mx”. You must take action to keep this site secure.

The “cPanel” AutoSSL provider could not renew the SSL certificate without a reduction of coverage because of the following problems:

⛔ mail.peyre.x10.mx (checked on Jan 13, 2020 at 1:57:18 PM UTC)
DNS DCV: The DNS query to “_cpanel-dcv-test-record.peyre.x10.mx” for the DCV challenge returned no “TXT” record that matches the value “_cpanel-dcv-test-record=iu9EwHCTSmv3cpbKsbZBMdSywGEyGrZB1gMnF0rqsI2WCJ6UXZyWcAzAs2ottF00”.; HTTP DCV: “mail.peyre.x10.mx” does not resolve to any IP addresses on the internet.

For the most current status, navigate to the “SSL/TLS Status” interface. You can also exclude domains from future renewal attempts, which would cease future notifications.

The following domains will lose SSL coverage when the certificate expires:

The certificate that is installed on this website contains the following properties:
Expiration: Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 12:00:00 AM UTC
Domain Names:
peyre.x10.mx
mail.peyre.x10.mx
www.peyre.x10.mx

You can disable the “AutoSSL cannot request a certificate because all of the website’s domains have failed DCV (Domain Control Validation).” type of notification through the cPanel interface: https://peyre.x10.mx:2083/?goto_app=ContactInfo_Change

Hi peyre10
You receive exactly the same message as, except that you have posted the full message you receive.

Could the support explain to us how to resolve this or if it is not applicable and will have no consequences.

SSL is not supported on free hosting and thus should never have been an option in cPanel although I have heard one server for some reason had it turned on at some point in the past.

There is no option for it in DirectAdmin and no renewals will occur. The provider of the free certificates you had, cPanel, is no longer in use for the free hosting servers.

You will need to make sure the sites respond to http and not https for them to continue working properly.

Thanks Anna

So this is what I believed anyway I have no need to use https.

Thanks for the reply, so I don't have to worry about it.

Have a good day

Case resolved

All that will happen is the SSL certificate will expire and you will no longer have trusted https://, free accounts should be using http:// as you won't be able to Cloudflare anymore unless if your prior integration is still on your Cloudflare account in which you can use https:// but only on www. subdomain.

HI there,
I am receiving the same emails and I am on a free host.
However, when I check my 'Account Configuration', I see that SSL is 'Enabled'. I cannot disable it and I do not need an SSL certificate. Could someone take a look and disable it?
thanks in anticipation.

Same issue/emails here.
Assuming the consequences are just losing the ability to use https.

How do I check on which hosting plan I am? It says 'prime account' but not sure if that's the same.

Prime is not premium hosting, it was a way to elevate the free hosting for a small fee (little more resources, no need to login), prime is currently no longer being offered though
