Okay, probably no one else will think that this is funny, I just find it kind of amusing that Microsoft actually would diss one of their products even in the slightest way.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-xp/future.aspx

This page talks about the future of Windows XP.

Near the bottom, if you click on "Why do you have to stop selling Windows XP?" it will say this:
We've spent more than a year consulting with our customers and industry partners to ensure that we're doing the right thing. We understand that not everyone may agree with our decision—just as not everyone was happy to see Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows ME retire (OK, perhaps not ME).

"OK, perhaps not ME". That was kind of funny.

Oh, and please do not comment on the fact that I have no life. I know that already.:hahano:

I noticed that a long time ago. I found that funny as well, but Microsoft themselves have hated ME because of how buggy it was. Heck, all of the IT guys I know of hate ME.

I enjoy it when large corporations attempt to add some humor. It makes everything more personal. I've never used ME though... just 98 and XP.

I noticed it a while ago; and I'm one of ME's haters. Heck, ME was almost as bad as Vista!

You got to admit, ME was pretty rubbish.
If the constant BSODs were anything to go by, then it most certainly was awful.

Lol, I think he'd just go get a Linux / Unix / OS/2 developer to fix it for him :p. He only makes decisions, he developed a tiny fraction of the Windows code base. Namely: the bit that allowed him to run his stolen code on the PC architecture :p. Google it.

Where the heck have I been... I had no idea XP was going to go kaput!? Stupid Bill Gates!!!

I'm so glad I never upgraded to ME, just as I'm glad I have thus far avoided upgrading to Vista. LOL My cousin has it on her new laptop and hasn't had too many problems... but a friend of mine who works for the tech department of a big company states that, thanks to Vista, her department was flooded with computers and they are STILL, to this day, dealing with issues. LOL She plainly told me to never get rid of XP, which she and all her colleagues love. I have no idea what I'm going to do after 2014... I believe I shall cave and finally buy a Mac! MWAHAHAHA

You've been under a rock.

I know one person who uses Windows ME, and one of my old friends said that ME was fine and he didn't need XP! Crazy guys.

I will continue using Vista until Windows 7 comes out.

Yes I too found this funny when I was reading it because it can sound as if they have made a mistake are might be making a mistake and I am sure a big company like Microsoft would not admit all of their mistakes (And they don't because they have not yet admitted that vista is a massive mistake that is a wast of time and money.)
